LHMG uses a Collective Impact Model, which acknowledges that complex social problems are affected by large and interdependent systems that no single organization can change alone. Our effectiveness is based on cross-sector leaders coming together and strategically and collaboratively working on a unified vision for improving health in the City of Miami Gardens.

Want to get involved? Volunteer to serve on LHMG’s Host Council or one of our health impact areas Subcouncils. Similar to a Board of Directors, the Host Council is the planning and decision making body for LHMG. The Subcouncils support the implementation of strategies for our LHMG health impact areas. Each council meets on a monthly basis and is open to anyone with an interest in improving health outcomes within the City of Miami Gardens.
