Horace Ward

Father Horace Ward has been serving Holy Family Church since 1995 and with the congregation has engaged in various ways in the development of all the people of the City of Miami Gardens.

In the City, he has been serving on the Citizen Advisory Committee since 2008 to The Police Department and been trained in The 2012 Citizens Academy. He was recently elected Chair of the Miami Gardens Ecumenical Clergy Group, a consortium of several churches in the City. This affords him firsthand knowledge about and experience in the City.

Fr. Ward was trained by the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF) a national community organizing network which provides training and consultation, furnishes organizers, and develops national strategy for its affiliated broad-based community organizations. Born in Kingston, Jamaica and ordained priest in the Anglican Diocese of Jamaica and Cayman, he is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and done post graduate work at several institutions, including St. Thomas University, Miami Gardens.
