Mr. Adams started his career in Miami – Dade over 25 years ago, working in the area of mental health, where he worked and provided educational services to children, in residential treatment, with dual diagnosis. Mr. Adams social service career continued in 1993, with The Department of Children and Families, formerly known as The Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services, were he served as a Child Protective Investigator. Mr. Adams’ career included a stint working with Family Resource Center, where he provided Family Preservation services to families referred through Dependency Court. Mr. Adams, later took his experience and accomplishments, and begin working with the homeless and people experiencing housing instability, where he served ten years at Camillus House, in several director positions, including serving as the agency’s first Director of Social Services. After having served in excess of twenty years in program planning/development and management, in 2006, Mr. Adams joined The Children’s Trust. Initially serving as a Program Coordinator and Contract Manager, in the initiatives of Youth Development, Out of School (Afterschool) and Family and Neighborhood Support. In 2016, The Children’s Trust created it’s Community Engagement and Public Policy Department, where Mr. Adams currently serve as a Community Engagement Manager, responsible for the communities of Northwest Miami Dade, Northeast Corridor, Liberty City/Brownsville and Overtown.

Mr. Adams holds two advance degrees, a M.S., in Health Services Administration (Barry University) and a M.S. in Religion (Trinity University – Miami Campus). Mr. Adams currently lives in Broward County and has two adult children.
