Ms. Cheryl Coleman is a native of Miami Florida. She has over 25 years of experience in the Healthcare field. The primary years of her profession was spent in the area of oral health. After ten years of service, Cheryl began to pray and seek God’s counsel in regards to her career choice. In doing so, it became evident that nursing and caring for the whole man would be her passion and profession. Cheryl entered the nursing profession in 1995 after graduating from Miami Dade Community College. Once becoming a registered nurse, she applied her knowledge base, communication skills, and compassion to serve and make a difference within her profession to heart.
Based on Cheryl’s exceptional clinical performance, professionalism, and desire to provide quality healthcare she was promoted quickly up the ranks. She has served in various hospital and healthcare administrative roles to include Director of Nursing Services, Director of Clinical education, and Vice President of Emergency and Critical care Services. In these roles Cheryl held oversight of all aspects of nursing, business, and educational operations.
Cheryl’s academic background is similarly outstanding. She has furthered her education by graduating Magna Cum Laude from Florida International University in 1998 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing as well as a Masters of Science in Nursing in 2002. She obtained her MBA Degree from Barry University in 2011. In addition to her passion for the study of science and business, Cheryl also has a zeal for the study of the word of GOD and therefore has obtained a certificate of completion from Kingdom University and serves as a Minister in her place as worship.
She has received several awards of recognition to include the Frist Humanitarian Award for her leadership in the nursing profession as well as community service. She also received the Leadership excellence Award from HCA Cedars Medical center for achieving high level of employee satisfaction as well as being inducted in to the Hall of Fame at Miami Dade College. She has been honored in South Florida Hospital News for advancing the profession of nursing.
Cheryl serves her congregation and community as the lead servant for the Health and Wellness Ministry. She additionally, holds the position of Director of Health and Wellness for the Florida General Baptist Convention. Cheryl is faithful in her service to GOD, her family, church, and community. As owner and operator of Abundant Living Health &Wellness Resulting Services her desire is to impact change that facilitates holistic living in all dimensions of health “Abundant Living.”
